Seeking a critical thinking computer guru
We are currently seeking an IT administrator that is obsessed with efficiency, and maximizing up time through proactive activity. Your job will consist primarily of reviewing various network metrics, and adjusting our proactive maintenance to get better results.
Repairing an outage should be seen as a learning opportunity. Something we as a team did wrong, and need to minimize the change of that happening again in any network we support. Due to the nature of this position, it will also function as a "top-tier support" responsible for resolving any issues which could not be resolved below your level of access and expertise. Documentation and educating others on the team is also an important aspect on ensuring you remain focused on proactive activities.
Optimization of all networks, servers, and workstations we support.
Collaborate with Project Managers & Technicians to execute projects.
Troubleshoot advanced issues requiring in depth knowledge.
Review support tickets for trends and opportunities to further optimize.
~8+ years Windows Management.
~6+ years Linux Server Management.
~4+ years macOS administration.
~Thorough networking skills.
(including VPN & vLAN)
~Hypervisor experience an asset.
~Understanding of NAS, SAN & DAS.
~Strong scripting skills.
(Bash, PowerShell, Python).
~Working knowledge of SQL.
Certifications are considered an asset.
